Switzerland-based gategroup is buying 50% of caterer Servair; it assumes management control this month.
Gategroup, which itself is now owned by China’s HNA Group, will take the allocation (minus one share) for a consideration of €237.5m.
With this acquisition, the inflight catering businesses will together serve more than 300 airline customers from over 200 facilities. in terms of revenues in the wake of the deal, figures in excess of CHF4.4bn have been suggested.
