GHI has launched an all-new Digital Reconnect virtual forum on December 1-2 to help the world’s aviation community hit back against the coronavirus crisis. Digital Reconnect aims to promote stakeholder collaboration and provide a conduit for key commercial discussions as 2020 draws to a close.
The innovative two day virtual event will include One-to-One virtual meetings, conference sessions and GHI’s Pride of Ground Handling Awards. All will be managed by the GHI team.
GHI’s Digital Reconnect will empower stakeholders from all global markets to connect, learn and support one another through a time of crisis, while enjoying the high quality networking, content and personalisation upon which GHI prides itself.
Confirmed attendees include Air Canada, Amazon Air, Air France-KLM, Celebi, Menzies Aviation, British Airways, JetBlue, JBT AeroTech, DHL, easyJet, Qatar Airways and many more.
Stakeholders backed the Digital Reconnect initiative as an essential tool in tackling a time of enormous flux for aviation.
Ástþór Ingason, Head of International Airport Operations, Icelandair, said: “GHI Digital Reconnect will be a great time to connect again. We need to get information from all sides and co-ordinate coming months and the summer of 2021. It is imperative for carriers to discuss airline schedule plans and handling status. Information sharing is vital to get everything started again.”
Carm Borg, Chairman, Global Aviation Services, added: “It is important that we are able to connect with all our airline partners and suppliers as the coronavirus has had the most impact on our industry in the history of aviation. Now is an even more important time that if we cannot all gather together in a conference setting, then we at least for 2020 do a virtual meeting so that we can still connect with our partners as our landscape of the industry changes before us.”
