Animal reception centre gets green light at Ben-Gurion

Travellers with pets at Ben-Gurion will benefit from 2020.

It has taken a decade of planning, but finally Ben-Gurion airport has announced that the construction of the Israeli Animal Reception Centre is to proceed.

The facility will be built over 1.3 acres of land, and will include around 1,500 metres of kennel and office space that is able to accommodate up to 150 dogs and 50 cats. The structure is being designed by Terminal4Pets, a company that has provided pet shipping services in Israel for more than 20 years.

Services envisaged will include boarding, ground handling, transit services, cargo services, veterinary care, VIP services, a kennel shop, grooming, training and emergency services, all of which will be conveniently located near Terminal 1 at the airport.
