Alaska Airlines' Board Room members and first class ticket holders are to enjoy access to a new Board Room lounge in Seattle airport's North Satellite terminal as of November 7.
Additionally, from December 1, Board Room members will have access to United Airlines lounges at Philadelphia, Minneapolis, and Phoenix airports.
The news is not all good, however. As of next year, Board Room members will no longer be entitled to use Delta's 48 Sky Club lounges which, for some members, will significantly detract from the value of Board Room membership. The cost of this can vary from US$295 to US$450 a year, depending on one's elite status in Alaska's Mileage Plan programme.
