The partnership started in early 2020 with Swissport providing ground services, cargo handling, and aviation security, serving 134 flights a week.
Swissport’s staff service Boeing 787s, Airbus A220s and Bombardier Q400s for the airline which operates 10 domestic and 6 international destinations.
The handler also manages hub operations at Kilimanjaro Airport, Air Tanzania’s second base.
Mrisho Yassin, CEO of Swissport Tanzania, said: “We are pleased that Air Tanzania has once again chosen Swissport as a partner for a range of mission critical ground services that have a significant impact on an airline's on-time performance and reliability.”
“It underlines that our leading position in hub and large base handling is recognised across the industry and pays off also at the airport of the Tanzanian metropolis.”
