AeroGround, Munich airport’s ground handling company, is in the midst of celebrating its fifth anniversary in Munich, as well as the first full year of operation of AeroGround Berlin at Schönefeld.
AeroGround was founded in 2011 as an independent subsidiary of Flughafen München, as part of the reorganisation and restructuring of ground handling services. AeroGround now employs around 2,500 people in Munich and Berlin and serves more than 100 airlines. This summer thus sees the company celebrate two birthdays.
With the start of business operations at Berlin-Schönefeld and Berlin-Tegel airports over the past 12 months, the company has established its first handling locations outside Munich and has successfully implemented the expansion strategy that was launched in 2013. This year has also seen AeroGround in Munich granted ISAGO certification.
