Share your Annual GHI Conference memories

The Annual GHI Conference is celebrating its 25th anniversary and we would like you, leading aviation professionals to share your memories from historic conferences.

First held in Brussels, Belgium in 1999, the Annual GHI Conference has established itself as the leading aviation conference, welcoming key decision-makers from top ground handlers, GSE manufacturers and service providers.

Since then, the Annual GHI Conference has been all over Europe including experiencing the glamour of Monte Carlo in 2006.

The most recent conference, which was held at the FIL in Lisbon, Portugal in November last year had record-breaking attendance with nearly 1,000 delegates through the doors.

We could not have done this without you so to help us celebrate this milestone, we would like you to share your memories from past conferences.

Have you been attending since one of the early shows? Or even better, were you one of the trailblazers who joined GHI for the inaugural conference in 1999?

If the answer is yes, please contact our Deputy Editor, James Muir on to tell us what you remember, how the conference has changed and why you have remained loyal to GHI as the aviation industry has been through the ups and downs caused by economic and geopolitical events.

Max Gosney, Conference Chairman and Portfolio Director, said: “GHI is proud to have been bringing the world’s aviation community together for 25 years. Conferences are a collective experience comprised from many thousands of individual memories. We’d love to hear some of your highlights from down the years from lifetime friendships and business relationships forged to the occasional mishaps and laugh out loud moments along the way. As well as celebrating this milestone, we want to look forward to the next 25 years for the ground handling industry in Barcelona and the enormous opportunities ahead for our aviation community.”

The 25th Annual GHI Conference will be held at the CCIB in Barcelona, Spain from 3-5 December 2024.
