WFS and FCS complete merger at Frankfurt

Cargo Matters
After only a few months with the new majority shareholder WFS, plans for the merging of cargo handling in Frankfurt between WFS and FCS have been successfully implemented.

Since February this year FCS has been in charge of the WFS handling operation; and the physical handling carried out by FCS has been integrated with the warehouse capacities of FCS. All of WFS’ customers were able to move smoothly to the FCS premises thanks to an optimised restructuring of the existing capacity. Helpfully, the documentary handling of all WFS customers is still carried out by WFS staff.

"We have managed to bring together two companies in a short time to offer our customers the best possible service and a continuing high quality handling. This is the most important goal for FCS and for WFS," commented Hans-Georg Emmert, Managing Director of FCS. In addition, another 19 WFS staff now support FCS in both physical and documentary operational handling.
