Menzies Aviation has acquired UK-based aircraft de-icing specialist Airline Services, from Airline Services and Components Group Limited.
Airline Services has offered aircraft de-icing and cleaning services for over 30 years, providing services at 12 UK airports to over 60 airlines, together with its ground handling operations at London Gatwick. The acquisition takes Menzies into four new airport locations.
By merging Airline Services with its existing business, Menzies can continue its growth in the UK, expanding its service offering to new and existing customers at a wider range of locations.
As part of the deal, Menzies Aviation welcomes 900 new employees including Nigel Daniel, currently Managing Director of Airline Services, who will take up a leadership position on Menzies’ regional team.
