Using IVS's new Cargo Consolidator System, Transit Group is submitting e-CSDs and taking advantage of connections to 90 airlines through the WIN platform.
South African Airways' subsidiary Airlink has introduced an e-CSD requirement and is also a user of IVS's Cargo Link System, which was developed and designed specifically for airlines and cargo handlers.
The new software adheres to the IATA-backed e-Security Consignment Declaration process, which is also supported by the local Civil Aviation Authority.
The new instant messaging platform provided by the WIN software uses a lot fewer resources than previous methods, and the Director of IVS said it enables them "to maintain and support a single message gateway to 90 airlines, instead of 90 different gateways." He continued: "We are a technology-driven company that continuously develops and implements new features into all our systems."
Airlink can now exchange information with any carrier or freight agent on the WIN platform instantaneously, thanks to their membership to WIN's airline network.
South African freight forwarder company Transit Group is using IVS software to produce electronic consignment security declarations.
