Air Liquide and Groupe ADP open hydrogen facility in Paris

Green Scene
Designed and installed by Air Liquide, with the help of FCH JU, Paris Orly will permit the fuelling of a fleet of hydrogen-powered taxis.

In fact, this fleet will be the first of its kind in the world.

Hydrogen brings a number of benefits to road traffic: zero pollution, a by-product that is merely water and a noiseless propulsion are just three. As such, the power option answers many of the environmental questions posed by those concerned over the planet's future.

Dubbed Hype, the taxi fleet will operate around Paris: to begin with, 50 vehicles will be involved in the scheme. In 2018 further hydrogen stations are envisaged around Paris as the concept gains momentum.
