Innovation Zone and Demo Zone programme revealed for GSE Expo Europe 2024

INNOVATION zone: Looking into the ramp of the future

Innovations with the power to revolutionise the ramp environment will be the focus of the Innovation Zone area at GSE Expo Europe.

The Zone is located at stand C53 inside pavilion 4 and features four corners of innovation with a host partner profiling their product development in this field and the potential applications on the ramp.

Visitors are invited to join special roundtables hosted by our Innovation Zone partners which will explore key technology areas and their potential to transform the operational environment.

Our confirmed partners include TractEasy who will be exploring autonomous vehicles. VIRV will be profiling advances in battery systems including a detailed look at swappable systems. Siemens Logistics will be exploring automated baggage handling system advances. GHI’s Innovation Zone corner will be inviting attendees to share their views on how they see the ramp of 2050 taking shape.

See the full roundtable details below with timings of each session.

DEMO ZONE:  See pioneering GSE live in action at the Demo Zone

Pioneering examples of autonomous vehicles and electric powered kit will be put through their paces at the outdoor Demo Zone area at GSE Expo Europe in Lisbon.

Our displays will tie in with the Expo’s themes of sustainable equipment, automation and safety advances in GSE.

Charlatte Manutention will be showcasing the autonomous AT135 pushback tractor. The electric powered autonomous tractor includes precise navigation and advanced obstacle recognition safety features.  The AT135 is billed by Charlatte as the solution to facilitate the transport of goods on industrial and airport sites.

Linde will be delivering demonstrations of its W20 – W30 electric platform trucks now available with a robust cage to ensure the safe handling of luggage and other heavy loads. Timsan will also be delivering a demonstration of EBC7500 Electric Belt Conveyor, which is produced to serve all types of cargo doors.

All demos are free to view and will include commentary from a manufacturer on the key features being displayed.

Our displays from 17-19 September will tie in with GSE Expo Europe’s themes of sustainable equipment, automation and safety advances in GSE. See the programme here.
